Lindley Estes will take over as editor of Fredericksburg Business Insider in Virginia starting Friday.
A story on its website states, “Lindley Estes started reporting for the FLS shortly after graduating from UMW in 2012 with degrees in creative writing and French. She hails from Kenbridge in Lunenburg County.
“In addition to her duties editing FredBiz – a weekday e-newsletter covering local, state and national business topics — Estes will cover business and UMW for the FLS. She can be reached at lestes@freelancestar.com.
“‘I feel lucky for the opportunity to delve into the local business community,’ Estes said. ‘It’s such an exciting time for business in the area, and I’m glad to be able to serve Fredericksburg, having only a few years ago adopted it as home.’
“Estes will replace Bill Freehling, who helped start FredBiz in early 2011 and has served as its editor since then. Freehling on June 9 will become assistant director of economic development for the city of Fredericksburg.”
