Paul O’Donnell, the business editor of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, notes that its business section front page on Tuesday decided to illustrate using the huge stock price declines seen by major brokerage firms.
O’Donnell says, “Lots of discussion throughout the day between the biz editors, the biz designer, the 1A editor and our main visuals guy. We met early to talk out a gameplan, then got together early afternoon to nail down what was going to go on 1A and what was going to stay in biz.
“We decided to settle on stock charts for the five key investment firms as the main graphic element. It was a fun day. And today looks like it has as many moving parts.”
