Lucia Moses of MediaWeek reports that John Donnelly has been named the new publisher for Money magazine — the third in the past year — and will begin on Aug. 4.
Moses writes, “Donnelly, formerly associate publisher for the Fortune Money Group, to which Money belongs, succeeds Brett Wilson, who left in June after just 10 months in the position to become senior vp of advertising sales for Gannett’s USA Today.
Â
“Money previously was sold by Mike Dukmejian as part of Time Inc.’s Business and Finance Network, which included Fortune, CNNMoney.com and the now-defunct Business 2.0. Dukmejian left Time Inc. when the network was partially disbanded last fall.
Â
“Money’s ad pages were down 2 percent to 464 so far this year through its August issue, per the Mediaweek Monitor, after tumbling 17 percent to 799 last year.”
