The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review seeks a seasoned business writer who delivers sophisticated coverage of the economy and finance.
We’re looking for a strong reporter who is able to break news and produce compelling daily coverage, enterprise and analysis. The ideal candidate should be eager to address topics of national and international scope as well as write about how economic trends and policies impact local businesses, jobs and consumers.
Candidates should have at least five years of business reporting experience and a history of enterprise and watchdog coverage with a focus on real people. A sense of competition is important in this two-newspaper city. The Trib, circulation 215,000 and growing, has won awards for business coverage from SABEW, the Scripps Howard Foundation and the Institute on Political Journalism. The newspaper is based on Pittsburgh’s North Shore, between PNC Park and Heinz Field. Pittsburgh is a terrific news area and an affordable place to live.
