Nick Pappas has joined the Albuquerque Journal as the newspaper’s new assistant business editor.
Michael Murphy, the paper’s business editor, writes, “He succeeds Mike Hartranft, who has moved across the river to become managing editor of the Rio Rancho Observer, one of the Journal’s sister newspapers.
“Nick comes to the Journal from New England, where he spend the last 24 years at The Telegraph in Hudson, N.H. There, he held positions ranging from business editor to city editor to editorial page editor to editor in chief.
“‘I’m extremely pleased to be part of the Journal’s business staff,” he said. “I look forward to getting out and meeting members of the business community, and learning about the major issues facing them.’
Nick has a bachelor of science degree in journalism from Suffolk University in Boston, and has been a longtime member of Investigative Reporters and Editors.”
