Jim Zebora, who has been the business editor of the Greenwich Time and Stamford Advocate in Connecticut, was named the managing editor of the Time, according to a story in the Advocate.
Neil Vigdor wrote, “Zebora, a graduate of what is now Central Connecticut State University who also attended the School of Languages and Linguistics at Georgetown University, lives with his wife, Cynthia, an attorney, in Meriden.
“He spent 19 years at the Record-Journal, working his way up from a stringer to a staff writer to business editor and a member of the newspaper’s editorial board before joining The Advocate and Greenwich Time.
“Zebora said community newspapers such as Greenwich Time and The Advocate play an important role.
“‘It’s what’s happening in their own town that people care about and we should be reporting, to give them news they can’t find anywhere else,’ Zebora said.”
