Chinese Biz News, the first Chinese language business newspaper in North America, was launched Saturday by a Los Angeles-based Internet company.
The Xinhua wire service reported, “Right now there are nearly 300,000 Chinese-owned businesses in North America, with an annual income of more than 100 billion U.S. dollar. Due to the ever-accelerating development of Chinese enterprises in general, businessmen both in the United States and China want to have greater access to business information in both countries, the announcement said.
“Chinese Biz News has come into being to serve as an information bridge for Sino-U.S. business communities, it said.
“The paper is a 12-page, full-size weekly which will be published every Saturday. It is based in the Los Angeles area, which represents one of the larger Chinese communities in North America. The paper’s content will focus on Chinese and American Markets. Its editorial slant will be forward looking and forward thinking, offering the most up-to-date information, according to the announcement.
“Chinese Biz News is going to be distributed free-of-charge to State Libraries in America, major university libraries, Chinese bookstores, and through all major channels in China.”
