The Financial Times revealed a new line-up to its technology, media and telecoms editorial team in London with two new appointments.
Robert Cookson assumes the position of digital media correspondent as of Monday and Bede McCarthy will cover technology.
Cookson has relocated to the UK, after spending three years in Hong Kong as Asia markets correspondent, and he will cover digital enterprise in UK media, technology and telecoms companies. McCarthy, who is currently executive editor of FT.com, will assume his new role from January 2013.
The moves are the latest changes to the TMT team, following the appointment of Rob Budden as chief media correspondent and London team leader in July 2012. The new line-up reinforces the FT’s investment in providing readers with insightful news and analysis in these fast-changing and growing industries.
The London-based team also includes Salamander Davoudi, media correspondent, and Daniel Thomas, telecoms correspondent.
