
CNBC has hired Lisa Kim as a reporter, primarily covering key business stories from Japan and South Korea.
She is based in Singapore.

Lisa’s reporting will help deliver sharp insights and context for CNBC’s global audience.”
Kim has almost a decade of experience in journalism, having worked most recently as chief markets correspondent and team leader at Nikkei Asia, covering Asian markets and deals from Tokyo. Prior to that, she also worked for the Financial Times, Forbes, the Korea Herald, and Arirang TV.
She graduated from Yonsei University with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and obtained a master’s degree in data journalism from Columbia University.
