Semafor has hired CNBC reporter Rohan Goswami as a business reporter, starting in January.
Goswami has been covering deal making and shareholder activism in all sectors. He has broken news on a number of boardroom and activist-related matters, including the probe that ultimately led to the ouster of Norfolk Southern’s CEO, the ongoing struggles at Intel, the leadership tumult at Starbucks and across a series of activist fights.
He has previously reported on corporate fraud, including the collapse of cryptocurrency exchange FTX and the criminal and civil actions against crypto exchange Binance, venture-backed companies and their executives, and cybersecurity. He joined CNBC in 2022.
Goswami graduated from Tulane University with a degree in history, where he was a reporter and editor at the school’s newspaper.
