Emma Moody

Caroline Gage, head of the Americas for Bloomberg News, sent the following announcement to staff:

All,

I’m delighted to announce that Emma Moody will return to Bloomberg as News Director for the Americas

Emma was most recently the Head of Standards & Ethics at the Wall Street Journal, and held numerous roles over her 15 years there including Deputy Chief News Editor, Page One News Editor and Deputy Editor of Money & Investing. Prior to joining the Journal, she spent 13 years at Bloomberg on two continents reporting and overseeing coverage on a range of markets and business beats.

In short, Emma brings a wealth of experience as a newsroom leader. She has an enthusiasm for the this-just-in, sharp news judgment and a passion for ambitious, rigorous storytelling.

I also wanted to thank Marty Schenker for stepping in as interim News Director during the latter half of the year. He’s graciously agreed to stay on the news desk for several months to help with the transition.

Emma will start on Jan. 6 — so please welcome her back to 731 Lex.

Caroline
