The Indianapolis Star has hired Jordan Smith to cover growth and development.
Smith previously was a reporter at the South Bend Tribune. He also worked in Minnesota at the Mankato Tribune.
He is a graduate of Purdue University, where he was managing editor of The Exponent, the student newspaper.
