Stephen Talbott, who worked on the business news desk of the Cleveland Plain Dealer for 26 years, died Feb. 19 at the age of 76.
Talbott was a business reporter from 1980 to 1988 and deputy business editor from 1988 to 2006.
Before the Plain Dealer, he worked as a reporter at The Amsterdam Recorder and the Schenectady Gazette, both in New York state.
He held a bachelor’s degree from SUNY-Albany and master’s degree from Columbia University’s business journalism program.
After retiring from the Plain Dealer, Talbott taught journalism at Cleveland State University.
