Bloomberg Opinion is looking for a dedicated writer to cover the industrial and transportation industries with insight, flair and authority. We are seeking an independent and quick-thinking columnist who will play a leading role shaping our global audience’s understanding of the biggest trends, most important companies and most influential leaders in these parts of the American economy.
Coverage would include corporate strategy and performance, innovation, policy battles, supply-chain issues, and workplace equity and diversity. You would be deeply interested in the culture, creativity, challenges and finances of manufacturing and transportation.
WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:
Write insightful, unique opinion columns with an authoritative and engaging voice tied to breaking news as well as deeper dives into specific issues
Relish the opportunity to lead the most important debates of the day in your area of coverage in a fast-paced environment.
Use visual data to illustrate important trends
Produce at least two columns a week
Work with Bloomberg Opinion’s social media editors to produce videos around columns
YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:
At least 7 recent years of experience in financial journalism
At least 5 years of experience covering technology as a reporter
Experience covering the industrial and transportation industries as a reporter
A proven track record of unique insights
Abundant opinions grounded in fact
Ability to write with a point of view
Ability to collaborate and work in a team atmosphere
