Bill Hethcock, a long-time member of the Dallas Business Journal newsroom, has been named managing editor of the publication.
Editor in chief Will Anderson writes, “Hethcock joined DBJ in 2007. He has held numerous roles in the newsroom and covered storylines from the unraveling of the Forest Park Medical Center system to a family feud over a North Texas-based tortilla empire to the legal saga of real estate firm United Development Funding. Hethcock was promoted to senior reporter in 2019 and became assistant managing editor in 2023.
“‘I’m very happy and excited about the opportunity to lead our talented team of journalists in covering one of the most dynamic and fast-growing business communities in the nation,’ Hethcock said. ‘After 16 years of covering business in DFW, I look forward to building even stronger connections with our readers and with the people and companies we cover.’
“A Texas native and graduate of Texas A&M University, Hethcock has also worked as a reporter at the Colorado Springs Gazette and as a reporter and editor at the Valley Morning Star in South Texas.”
