Nissa Diederich, executive vp production at 20th Television, is stepping down from her post.
Diederich will leave 20th after more than two decades at the Fox-turned-Disney studio. She has been in her current job for two-plus years after taking over for Jim Sharp in 2021. Prior to that, she was executive vp production at Touchstone Television/Fox 21, which was absorbed into 20th in a reorganization in December 2020.
“Nissa has helmed production on some of the studio’s most significant and storied series for over two and a half decades,” 20th TV president Karey Burke wrote in a note to staff Thursday (read it below). “… I know you will all join me in thanking Nissa for her incredible contributions to 20th Television and cheering her on in her next chapter.”
Diederich joined Fox Television Studios in 1998, working first in production finance and moving up the ranks. She worked closely with mega-producer Ryan Murphy, serving as production executive on all of his series for 20th TV, including Glee, American Horror Story, American Crime Story and the 911 franchise. She also was in charge of production on series ranging from Homeland to Only Murders in the Building to the forthcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
