Award-winning journalist Marina Waters has taken on the role of managing editor at the Herald & Tribune in Johnson City, Tenn. She said:
“I don’t know that I can even fully express how excited and grateful I am to be back in Jonesborough. It feels a bit like home to me. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to lead this paper to where it needs to be.”
Waters will continue as editor of Six Rivers Media’s Tri-Cities Scene in Kingsport, Tenn. She also served as editor of Bristol Now and as a business reporter at the Kingsport Times-News in Tennessee.
Previously, she worked as a staff writer at the Herald & Tribune from December 2016 to June 2021.
Waters has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
