Bloomberg News is seeking an energetic journalist with sharp news judgement and outstanding communication skills to oversee our Irish coverage in Dublin.
Whether it’s developments in the tech industry, Ireland’s launch of a sovereign wealth fund or the latest political negotiations in Northern Ireland, you’ll be responsible for staying on top of coverage in one of the newsiest places in the world. You’ll collaborate with teams covering topics from government and economics to business and finance, with an eye on staying ahead of breaking and longer-term coverage planning and connecting dots across beats.
Importantly, you will act as ambassador for Bloomberg News, setting up roundtable discussions and other events with key newsmakers in Ireland. Your exceptional people skills mean you will serve as a mentor and role model to others in the bureau, ensuring they navigate the newsroom, and are equipped with the writing, data and broader skill sets required to reach audiences across all our platforms.

You will need:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working in business journalism and in a real-time news environment
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to direct coverage
- An ability to maintain and develop top-level sources
