Dear colleagues,I am delighted to announce that Anousha Sakoui will join Reuters as Editor, EMEA M&A, based in London.
In her role, Anousha will lead our coverage of deals in the region. She will work closely with reporters on her team and across the newsroom to break news on the most significant transactions, unearthing the untold story behind the deals and on the individuals involved, setting the agenda on the broader trends.Anousha is ideally placed to take on this role. She has more than two decades of experience reporting for some of the world’s leading news organizations on a variety of subjects.Anousha joins us from the Los Angeles Times, where she covers topics including labor and litigation in Hollywood. She was part of the team that was a 2022 Pulitzer Prize finalist in breaking news for covering the shooting on the “Rust” film set.Anousha moved to the US in 2014 with Bloomberg News to cover Hollywood film studios and had award-winning scoops on the hack of Sony Pictures. She previously helped lead M&A coverage at the Financial Times and wrote about capital markets and the 2007 credit crisis for Dow Jones Newswires and the Wall Street Journal in London.Anousha got her start in business news at the BBC and has a Masters of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh. She was born in London and studied at the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle.
