Vox has tapped Miranda Kennedy to serve as executive producer of “Today Explained.” Recently, she served as editor of “Rough Translation,” a true crime episodic podcast at NPR.
Kennedy worked at NPR for more than seven years, holding the posts of senior news editor, supervising producer and supervising senior editor of “Morning Edition.”
Previously, she worked at NPR from April 2007 to August 2014 as an editor for “Morning Edition” and then as a senior editor for “Weekend Edition.”
From March 2002 to March 2004, she served as Asia correspondent at NPR. She held the same post at American Public Media Group.
Kennedy has a bachelor’s degree from Trinity College Dublin and a master’s degree from Bennington College in Vermont.
