Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be a strong writer and storyteller with the ability to convey information to viewers in a conversational manner.
- Must be knowledgeable about current events and be able to collaborate with newsroom on editorial direction and presentation.
- Must be able to report on breaking news and other developing stories with little assistance from production crews.
- Must be able to handle high stress environment while staying calm on air and behind the scenes.
- Must be able to discuss current events unscripted during the course of a live broadcast.
- Must understand media consumption on digital platforms and be able to adjust content where necessary.
- Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred.
- Candidate should have 3 to 5 years’ experience with fast-paced television productions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.
Salary: $49.75 per hour
