Capital B News, a Black-led, nonprofit local and national news organization, has appointed Brandon Tensley as a national politics reporter. In his new role, “Brandon will cover the impact of policy and political movements on Black people in America, and the Black political influencers who are shaping our future,” reports Capital B News.
Recently, Tensley was a national political writer at CNN. He also co-hosted Slate Magazine’s “Outward” podcast and was an assistant editor and associate editor at think tank New America.
He has contributed to Pacific Standard Magazine as well.
Tensley has a bachelor’s degree from Furman University in Greenville, S.C. and a master’s degree from the University of Oxford.
