The Minneapolis Star-Tribune has named Steve Grove as its next CEO and publisher. He begins in April.
Grove succeeds Mike Klingensmith, who is retiring after serving the paper for 13 years.
Since January 2019, Grove has served as commissioner of employment and economic development. He worked at Google as director of its news lab and as director of community partnerships.
He was head of news and politics at YouTube. He reported for ABC News and was a correspondent at The Boston Globe.
Grove has a bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College and a master’s degree from the Harvard Kennedy School.
