The New York Times has promoted Douglas Schorzman to Asia editor. Recently, he served as deputy international editor.
During 22 years with the Times, Schorzman held the posts of copy editor, assistant international editor and deputy Asia editor. Prior to joining the Times, he was a deputy news editor at the Austin American-Statesman.
He worked as a copy editor and front page editor at the Salem Statesman Journal and interned at The Seattle Times.
Schorzman has a B.A. from Oregon State University.
