The Sunday Times has appointed Ben Taylor to the post of editor and Krissi Murison to deputy editor.
Taylor joined the Times in 2020 as deputy editor. In his new role, Taylor succeeds Emma Tucker, who has been named editor in chief of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires.
Previously, he worked at the Daily Mail for 22 years, where he held various posts, including news editor and executive editor.
Taylor started his career working for local newspapers in Birmingham.
On his appointment, Taylor said:
“I am enormously proud to take on the editorship of The Sunday Times, a newspaper I started reading as a young boy. I am honoured to lead a wonderfully talented team delivering unmissable journalism in digital and print. Having celebrated our 200th anniversary last year, I want to build on our unique heritage to create an exciting future for The Sunday Times and continue to increase its ever-growing audience.”
Currently, Murison is the editor of The Sunday Times Magazine. She joined in 2012 as a features editor. Before that, she was an editor at NME, where she was also named New Editor of the Year by the British Society of Magazine Editors.
Murison added:
