The Guardian has hired Manisha Ganguly as a correspondent on the investigations team. Ganguly — who possesses a doctorate connected to investigative journalism and AI — joined from BBC Global News, where she recently served as investigative/open-source intelligence techniques (OSINT) documentary producer.
Ganguly was an investigative journalist at BBC Newsnight and was a digital news reporter at CNN. She served as director of the Future of Journalism network, which brought together award-winning journalists and cutting-edge developers working on automation and security tools for reporters.
She was an investigative journalist at The Telegraph and freelanced as a politics and current affairs correspondent for the New Internationalist, The Guardian and The Wire.
Ganguly has a M.A. /MSc, MPhil and PhD from the University of Westminster.
