Chris McIntosh has been named the new publisher of the Boston Business Journal, according to a story on its site.
He replaces Michael Olivieri, who is becoming chief revenue officer of the paper’s parent company, American City Business Journals.
A story on the paper’s Web site states, “Mcintosh, 40, is making a return to the Boston Business Journal, where he worked from 1996 to 2004 as a sales manager and senior advertising consultant, focusing on business-to-business development and was instrumental in driving the BBJ to become best in class within the American City Business Journals chain.
“‘Chris’s proven track record of stellar business performance, creativity and determination, both with the Boston Business Journal and outside our company, makes me supremely confident that he will take the Boston Business Journal to new places,’ Olivieri said. ‘I am thrilled to have Chris come home to the BBJ in this capacity.’
“‘I don’t think the Boston Business Journal was ever far from Chris’s heart,’ said Whitney Shaw, president and CEO of American City Business Journals. ‘He’s passionate about sales and understands the unique relationship between the business journal and the community. I am very confident that Chris will be a tireless champion of the Boston Business Journal and all who work there.'”
