Jonathan Humphries has been named crime reporter at the Liverpool Echo. Humphries has been with the Echo for seven years, previously working as a senior reporter and court reporter.
He previously covered the health and crime beats at North West Evening Mail and has also freelanced.
Humphries graduated from the University of Manchester.
