Colossal Kapital Brand is looking for a writer to provide editorial content for monthly Print Magazine Sampler and website.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
The COLOSSAL KAPITAL BRAND is a collaboration between two black owned companies, Colossal Marques Entertainment and Kapital Magazine. By sharing our skills, talents, connections, resources, and our staffs we are making our dreams and goals possible. ABOUT THE ROLE/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Journalists will be provided with a column that will be published on the website and within the printed Magazine Sampler.
- Snippets of articles/interviews from the website will be published in the printed
Magazine Sampler.
- Journalists will be given creative control of their column based on the topic of interest of the column.
- Deadlines are based on the monthly release schedule.
- Editorial should be emailed to the Managing Editor upon completion in a word document.
- Journalists will make edits or updates to the editorial based on feedback from the
Managing Editor.
- Journalists will also be expected to assist with obtaining feature interviews with Celebrity Artists, Music Industry Executives and other Hip Hop related VIPs.
(Training on obtaining major interviews will be provided.)
- Journalists can also be assigned feature interviews coordinated by the Publisher.
EXPERIENCE
- Journalism & Reporting Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)
WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION
- Write a short introduction about yourself
- Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
- Please provide a hip hop culture or hip hop music related writing sample
COMPENSATION
- $25 an hour –
- $25 for columns
- $50 for Major Brand / Executive Interviews
- $75 for Celebrity Feature Magazine Cover Interviews
Journalists will receive a $5 increase on the compensation listed above every 6 months.
