ABOUT THE COMPANY

Here at Classroom Captioning we specialize in assisting the hard of hearing at educational institutions, from universities to elementary schools, all over the nation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking highly motivated, self-driven candidates who can work from home beginning January 2021. Must be well organized and flexible with the ability to pick up last minute classes as an added bonus. You must be certified/trained (college or university program) and be able to type 180 wpm.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Supply speech-to-text, word-for-word remote CART into 1CappApp, Zoom and other platforms.
  • Provide remote CART to students in an educational setting
  • Work with our staff to resolve any technical issues
  • Flexible, organized and on time

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have own steno and PC equipment with CAT software (captioning not required)
  • Must be able to write 180 wpm at 96% accuracy
  • Maintain quality standards
  • Exceptional English grammar skills and vocabulary
  • Dependable with high work ethic standards
  • Flexibility in scheduling
  • Cart trained
  • Report writing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  • Up to $35 an hour
