David Wallace-Wells will be joining The New York Times Opinion, where he will be launching a weekly newsletter on climate change, technology, the future of the planet and related matters. He will also join the Magazine as a staff writer, writing a regular column and feature-length stories.
He begins in April.
He has worked for 11 years at The New York Magazine and is a resounding voice on climate change. His book, “The Uninhabitable Earth: Life After Warming,” which came out in 2019 was a number-one Times best seller.
Wallace-Wells has spent the last two years as New York’s chief chronicler of the pandemic, providing analysis at both a scientific and policy level.
