Lucas writes, “I graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia last May, where I spent most of my time learning the ropes of political and enterprise, investigative reporting. I also spent four months in Barcelona, Spain, where I interned for a photojournalism organization called Ruido Photo, with ties to National Geographic. There, I translated hundreds of long-form articles from Spanish to English, mainly about the immigration crisis in Europe and Africa.
“I was born and raised in St. Louis, grew up in Richmond Heights, and attended St. Joseph’s Academy in high school.”
