The New York Times has promoted Gabriel Gianordoli to the post of assistant editor for digital news design.
In his new role, he will be overseeing visual and interactive opportunity, leading strategy and collaboration with Culture, Styles, Travel and Real Estate, and working with other desks.
Gianordoli joined The Times in 2018 from The Wall Street Journal, where he was a senior interaction design editor.
At The Times, he has partnered with various desks, including Investigations, International, Styles and National. He has also won several design awards, including being named as the first “World’s Best Designer” by the Society of News Design for 2020.
Gianordoli graduated from the Parsons School of Design – The New School.
