Sliced is looking for writers

March 18, 2022

Sliced is inviting pitches for its ninth issue — textiles! Please send pitches, bio and writing samples.  No deadline for this issue.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Sliced is committed to delivering a sharp, reputable take on issues that matter. It is a monthly publication that offers thought-provoking, evidence-based takes on the food industry. It explores food from all angles—its production, marketing, and consumption—to empower healthy and ethical eating.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We also have article ideas we’re looking for people to take on, below are some themes we’re particularly interested in:

Smart/interactive fabrics; agro textiles and geo textiles; regenerative farming for the textile industry; how food/farm waste can be used in the fashion industry; bioplastics, silk production; indigo farming; whether sustainable alternatives will disrupt or reproduce exploitation in textiles and the fashion industry.

We’re a food and agriculture magazine — and we expect this issue will focus more on agriculture — but we’re open to all your food pitches for textiles. If you’ve got a cool idea that we’ve not covered, then pitch us!
