2A Consulting is looking for a contributor to write about cutting-edge research in areas like artificial intelligence, computer vision, and human-computer interaction. The Content Writer will craft case studies that demonstrate the impact of Microsoft Research in the real world while building a repeatable process. The Content Writer will also lead the creation of a narrative about the Microsoft Research community organizational culture and professional development opportunities to drive recruitment efforts.

While every project is a snowflake with its own unique requirements, our embedded consultants tend to be strategic thinkers with strong attention to detail and savvy communicators able to present ideas to leaders, team members, and customers. This role will report directly to our client at Microsoft and function as part of their team.
This role is a part-time, contract role with the potential to become a long-term engagement.
- Develop process for the creation of case studies and write about ten case studies to be published in multiple formats
- Conduct interviews to understand the situation, experience, and outcomes
- Write content featuring key quotes from customers and stakeholders
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders
- Lead the creation of the Microsoft Research narrative focused on organizational culture and professional development
- Meet with internal stakeholders to understand objectives, what’s working and what needs to change, audiences, and key inputs
- Review existing, relevant assets and meet with subject matter experts to gather additional information
- Create drafts and ensure on-time delivery of final deliverable
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience crafting narratives or messaging and positioning frameworks
- Proficiency leading customer interviews and writing case studies
- Experience crafting employee communications or content for employee brand and talent acquisition

EXPERIENCE
- 4+ years of experience writing in a professional setting
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to accept and provide constructive feedback
- Experience writing about science or technology
COMPENSATION
- $70-$110/hour
