Michael Cowan has been promoted to the post of UK producer for BBC Newsnight. He was recently a senior journalist at the BBC.
Cowan has also worked as a reporter and DV director at the BBC. He was also a DV director at ITV. Additionally, he has worked at ITN, National Geographic Channel, NBCUniversal, Discovery Networks International and UTV Media in the UK.
Cowan graduated from Nottingham Trent University.
