Editor Brian Clark will be leaving The Modesto Bee at the end of the year. His last day will be Dec. 3. Clark has been with the California newspaper for 31 years.
Clark had been editor since March 2018, and had led the Bee to lead more than 50 state and regional awards. He joined in 1990 as a sports copy editor, page designer and columnist. After 13 years, he moved over to news as weekend editor and assistant city editor.
He then covered the digital side of the paper. He initially began his career as a sports editor at the Turlock Journal in 1987 and has also worked at the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
