The Washington Post has tapped Adam Kushner as an education editor. He joins from the Post’s Outlook, where he was an editor for seven years, overseeing a range of ideas journalism, conversation-starting analyses and moving personal essays.
His new role begins Nov. 29.
Previously, he was a senior writer and foreign editor at Newsweek and managing editor, online, at The New Republic. He was also the executive editor of the National Journal.
Kushner was also a reporting and writing fellow in residence at Poynter Institute and graduated from Columbia University, New York.
