Dow Jones Newswires, the real-time professional news service of The Wall Street Journal, is looking for a dynamic, fast and analytical reporter to cover corporate breaking news and who can quickly pivot to providing our professional readership of more than 60 million institutional and retail investors with the insights they need.
This job positions you on the front line of our real-time coverage where you’ll be tasked with writing stories about mergers and acquisitions, executive changes and quarterly earnings involving some of the most significant companies in the U.S. The coverage also includes figuring out what is driving market movements, uncovering interesting details buried in filings and extracting information from company disclosures that could have broader significance. In short, this is an opportunity to write market-leading breaking news for the global authority in financial journalism.
We’re looking for someone who can digest numbers and information quickly and turn them into a story for a diverse mix of sophisticated market professionals around the world.
While you may start this job remotely, you will be based in our New York City newsroom. You will report to Breaking News Editor Robert Barba.
