Ann Meyer has joined the EagleHerald as a staff writer, covering the city of Menominee, Mich., and Menominee County.
Meyer has spent much of her career reporting and editing business news. She began her career as a reporter in St. Petersburg, Fla., where she covered the police and higher education beats. She then served as an associate editor at Mature Outlook.
She was also managing editor of Daily Foods Magazine and spent 10 years as editor of The Catalog & Web Marketer. She has also worked freelance and wrote a weekly business column for the Chicago Tribune from 2002 to 2011.
In 2010, she launched SmallBizChicago.com, a website designed to inform and connect small business executives. The website also inspired the Tribune’s Blue Sky section and the launch of Retail Leader magazine, for which Meyer served as senior editor.
She has also covered education for the Savannah Morning News.
Meyer is a Northwestern University graduate.
