Julie Tate is joining The New York Times’ investigations team as a researcher, reports Politico.
Her new role begins August 23.
Previously, Tate was with The Washington Post for over 18 years, working as a researcher. She has also worked as a fact-checker at New Yorker Magazine.
She has worked with reporters on the national security beat, defense beat, and intelligence beat. Additionally, she was also an editor at Grand Street Magazine and has interned at Harper’s Magazine.
Tate graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
