Karina Montoya Guevara has joined Open Markets Institute as a reporter and research associate.
In her new role, she will be focusing on media business models and various business sectors in the U.S., primarily reporting for the Center for Journalism and Liberty.
Previously, Guevara was a writer and content creator at IDB Invest, focusing on driving private sector investment.
She has also interned at Bloomberg, where she was assigned to the emerging markets team to report on Latin American bonds and currencies. She has also worked at SE Semana Económica for over 3 years, the leading weekly business magazine in Peru,
She was also a news writer at Gestion, a business and economics newspaper in Peru.
Guevara holds a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
