Longtime Bloomberg Television host Pimm Fox has been named editor in chief of Newest Media.
Fox will assume the post on July 15. The Newest portfolio includes The Voice of Business, The International Business Exchange leadership conference and The IRG Index of Corporate Economic Growth and Influence.
“As Newest expands its programming, Pimm will lead our editorial activities including The Voice of Business, marking a significant step in achieving ownership of the Italian and European business narrative abroad” said Fernando Napolitano, CEO and Founder of Newest, in a statement.
Fox has been associated with Newest since its inception more than a decade ago, through his role as a moderator and host of our annual conferences.
He spent the last 15 years with Bloomberg L.P., where he was the presenter of the daily program on Bloomberg Television called “Taking Stock with Pimm Fox.” He co-hosted Bloomberg Radio’s financial and business afternoon show, “Bloomberg Markets,” with Carol Massar and Kathleen Hays.
Previous to joining Bloomberg, Fox worked for Dow Jones & Co. in London, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The San Francisco Chronicle. He is a graduate of Columbia University in New York and served in the U.S. Naval Reserve, where he penned the “Home Town” News.
Fox will work closely with Martin Brannigan, executive vice president of Newest Corp., to develop “Push-To-Talk,” the company’s made-for-digital TV program, featuring global business leaders.
