The Boston Business Journal has hired Steph Solis as its digital editor.
She is currently a statehouse and immigration reporter for MassLive.com based in Boston.
“I’m so excited to work with such an impressive group of reporters and editors, but that means moving away from daily State House coverage,” she wrote on Twitter.
Solis previously was an immigration reporter for the USA Today Network, specifically the Asbury Park Press and the North Jersey Record.
At Boston University, she uncovered complaints that a new professor with multiple perks had abandoned her class to promote her book. She also covered the chaos of the Boston Marathon bombing and the manhunt that brought the city to a halt.
As an intern at the Indianapolis Star, she explored the city’s startup culture and chronicled a teen pilot’s dream of flying around the world until his plane crashed in the Pacific Ocean.
