Joyce Rosenberg, who has been on the business news desk of the Associated Press for the past 35 years, has retired from the news service.
Her last day was July 9.
Rosenberg had been writing Small Talk, the AP’s widely published weekly column covering finance, tax, employment, marketing and management, since 1999.
She was also Money & Markets editor from 2010 to 2012 and financial markets editor and assistant business editor from 1997 to 2010, supervising seven reporters.
Rosenberg was the business news desk’s features editor from January 1994 to February 1997 and business news supervisor from 1992 to 1994. She began her career on the business news desk in 1986, covering retail and toy industries.
Before joining the business news desk, Rosenberg was in general news for the AP for nine years.
Rosenberg plans to freelance — business topics and general news topics — and also continue her licensed psychoanalyst practice. She also writes about psychoanalysis.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Baruch College and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
