The Washington Post has tapped Debbi Wilgoren as national security editor.
Wilgoren has spent her entire career at the Post, starting a two-month gig assisting then-columnist Bob Levey. She then held the post of night police reporter.
Over the next 14 years, she wrote many pieces for the Post, and in 2006, she helped push the publication into the digital age by taking on the role of early morning, breaking-news reporter.
She was also part of the Washington Post Radio. Since 2014, she has been an assignment editor on Local. Wilgoren is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
