David Reich-Hale, a business reporter for Newsday, is leaving the publication.
His last day will be next month.
“I’m also proud of the business of health care beat I created,” he wrote on LinkedIn. “Working with the business desk at Newsday is second to none in my career. Next for me: I’ll be a senior advisor at Northwell Health, driving content and messaging around many of the causes and issues important to the health system and its executives.”
Before joining Newsday in January 2014, Reich-Hale was associate editorial director for Patch.com and the editor of Long Island Business News. He has won numerous Society of Professional Journalists awards for editing, reporting and editorial writing.
Reich-Hale was also a reporter on Wall Street for American Banker from 2000 to 2004. While at the daily publication, he interviewed many of the biggest insurance and bank chief executives in the country.
