The New Statesman has hired Sarah Dawood as a special projects writer.
She joins from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport where she most recently served as digital communications officer – channels and communities.
Before that, she was a copywriter and content creator.
She was also a reporter and then deputy editor, Design Week at Centaur Media Plc.
She has also freelanced for Raconteur and The Guardian.
Dawood was also an online content manager at Rackspace and an intern at NME.
She has also worked at The Aesthetics Journal, Intent Media Inc. and The Nottingham Post.
Dawood is a M.A. in magazine journalism from the University of Sheffield.
