Beth DeCarbo, the “Counting House” columnist at The Wall Street Journal, is leaving the paper next month.
Her last day is April 30.
“Working for the Journal has been an amazing experience, but now I’m ready to try something new,” she said.
She has been at the Journal for 13 years, starting out as an editor on Personal Journal. In 2012, she became deputy editor for the launch of the Journal’s the Mansion section, which covers luxury real estate. The “Counting House” column explores the financial aspects of homeownership.
She has covered megamillion-dollar home sales, international real-estate markets and home-design trends and their effect on resale values.
Previously, she was the features editor at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and deputy business editor at Newsday.
