The Information seeks an AR/VR reporter

January 22, 2021

Posted by Chris Roush

AR/VR technologies are having a major moment—and just getting started. And while mainstream tech coverage concentrates on major announcements in the sector, the pace of industry developments is rapid. Lots of big news is, largely, uncharted.

The Information is looking for a reporter to launch a new AR/VR newsletter, defining coverage of these platforms for a wide array of readers. This reporter will also contribute regular articles to The Information and play a leading role in our events.

This beat requires sourcing across major tech companies like Facebook, Google and Apple as well as a wide array of startups and media companies. Candidates should have a broad knowledge of the tech world as well as a deep interest in this industry, its daily developments and what they all mean.

This is an opportunity to join the growing team of journalists at The Information, writing about what’s important in tech and media for a discerning audience. Founded in 2013, The Information has attracted tens of thousands of paying subscribers—putting the business on firm footing—including some of the most influential people on the planet.

Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to jobs@theinformation.com. We strongly encourage people from traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, particularly people of color. We are committed to diversity and to building an inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and ages.
